1. Information We Collect
hairforge processes account details, order and Credit records, security logs, support information, and photos only when you explicitly choose an online feature. We do not sell personal information or use uploaded photos to identify you.
2. Photos and AI Processing
After selection, your photo initially remains in the browser. It is sent over HTTPS to object storage and the AI service configured for the selected feature only when you explicitly enable face analysis or confirm an AI beard preview. Face analysis infers styling-related features and is not used to verify identity.
3. Account Information
When you create an account, we process your email, name, sign-in method, language, account settings, sessions, and Credit balance to authenticate you, deliver purchases, sync history, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests.
4. Payments and Orders
The payment provider shown at checkout processes your payment. hairforge stores the order number, amount, currency, payment status, provider transaction identifiers, and necessary accounting records, but does not receive or store your full card number.
5. Cookies, Attribution, and Analytics Consent
Necessary cookies support sign-in, language, security, and your consent choice. Analytics, advertising, UTM or affiliate attribution, and third-party support widgets do not load by default; they are enabled only after you allow optional services. Funnel events use a restricted set of non-sensitive properties and never include photo URLs, prompts, email addresses, or names. You can withdraw consent from Cookie settings in the footer.
6. hairforge Browser Extension
The hairforge Beard Style Finder extension requests no Chrome or website permissions. It uses only the face shape, growth coverage, and upkeep preferences you actively choose in its popup to calculate style references locally on your device. The extension does not read web pages, browsing history, tabs, URLs, accounts, or photos, and it does not collect, store, or transmit your selections. Chrome opens a hairforge page with source-attribution parameters only when you click a guide or website button; the website cookie, consent, and data practices described in this policy then apply.
7. Third-Party Services
To provide features you select, we may use cloud hosting and object storage, authentication, AI processing (currently configurable with Gemini, Replicate, Kie.ai, and fal.ai), payment services (currently configurable with Stripe, Creem, or PayPal), email, analytics, and support providers. Each provider receives only the data needed for its role and operates under its own terms and privacy policy.
8. Retention and Deletion
To restore your choices after sign-in or checkout, an unuploaded photo and its options may be stored in the current browser for up to 30 minutes. Face-analysis source photos are deleted after the request or expire within 15 minutes if interrupted. AI preview source photos are deleted when the task completes or expire within 1 hour if interrupted. HD results expire after 30 days. Account, order, security, and support records are retained as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations.
9. Security and International Processing
We use HTTPS, short-lived upload credentials, access controls, and file type and size limits to protect data. Providers may process data outside your region; we use reasonable contractual and technical safeguards as required by applicable law, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, or export of personal data; object to or restrict certain processing; and withdraw optional analytics consent. Account settings handle some requests, while others can be submitted through our contact page. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
