hairforge publishes practical style and grooming information. Our goal is to help readers compare realistic options and understand the work required to maintain them. Style guidance is subjective; health, ingredient-safety, and product-retention statements require stronger evidence and careful wording.

Research and sourcing

Each guide starts with a defined search intent and a specific reader decision. Editors compare the relevant style definitions, face-proportion effects, achievable growth areas, length ranges, and maintenance requirements. For health or safety-adjacent claims, we prefer primary or authoritative sources such as government health agencies, professional dermatology organizations, and original product documentation.

Sources must support the nearby claim. We do not add citations merely to decorate a page, and we remove absolute claims such as “works for everyone” or “most popular worldwide” when reliable evidence is unavailable.

Grooming-guide test method

Before publication, an editor checks that:

1. the target style has a clear, distinguishable silhouette;
2. the stated length and growth requirements are internally consistent;
3. trimming steps can be followed in order with ordinary tools;
4. boundary advice explains both what to do and what can go wrong;
5. face-shape guidance is framed as a balancing principle, not a guarantee;
6. product suggestions link only to an existing guide or remain non-linked buying criteria; and
7. related pages use descriptive internal links instead of repetitive generic anchors.

Photo-preview test method

We test the visible workflow separately from the editorial recommendation. Free style selection, optional analysis, paid AI generation, failure states, credit handling, result deletion, and privacy copy must match the implemented product. A generated preview is an exploration aid, not proof of how real facial hair will grow.

AI-assisted work

AI may assist with drafts, image concepts, or consistency checks. A human-directed editorial pass is responsible for page intent, unsupported-claim removal, source placement, internal links, and final publication. We do not present generated people as real customers, named barbers, or credentialed reviewers.

Updates and corrections

Substantive changes receive an updated modification date. Typographical fixes may not. Correction requests can be sent to support@beardstyles.co with the page URL and supporting detail. We review the original wording, the cited evidence, and related pages before changing a claim.
